Best Golf Courses - My Recommendations
Many golf players love to play in different courses, and they may tell you that each course provides a different experience. It is difficult to come up with a list of the best golf courses in the world, as different golfers obviously have different standards, not to mention there are far too many courses to choose from! If you ask me, I can tell you that I really like a course that is driven by a rich historical background, filled with world class facilities, surrounded by breath-taking scenery, and is rising in popularity.
Although it is difficult for all golf players to reach an agreement on the best course in the world, I still feel like to share with you two of my top favorites where you can play this wonderful game. I vote for them not just for the technical challenge they impose on golf players, but also for the extra features that adds to your golfing fun.
1. The Eagle Point Golf Club
Situated in the eastern part of North Carolina, this par-72 gold club has lots of loyal customers. With its vast area of green land, you can choose to walk as you go through different holes. The club’s caddie service has received plenty of positive comments, and you also get to enjoy tennis and swimming in addition to golfing.
The club owns a golfing ground of mover 7,000 yards, with a 74.5 rating and replete with 137 slopes for golfer to test their mettle. If this is not enough, the prevailing wind from the Atlantic Ocean will increase the challenge for you. Despite its traditional outlook, the club is filed with world-class facilities including a high-tech learning center where golf player can learn to advance their skills. What makes the club even more attractive is the town’s unbeatable weather year round and the great private retreat. Even if the club tries to stay low-profile, its business never stops to be thriving.
2. The Concession In Florida
This golf club was foundered by Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin, two of the legendary persons in the golfing field. Since its official launch in 2006, the club has been featured in many of the famous golf publications like Golfweek.
The name was derived from what transpired in 1969 when Nicklaus yielded a three-foot putt. That act of sportsmanship was all the British team (led by Jacklin) needed to tie with the Americans. While the Americans eventually won in the tournament, the act was forever etched in the annals of the sporting world. Decades after, the golf legends have worked on a 1,200-acre property that is free from housing developments. The par-72 Concession (7,470 yards, with 155 slopes and 77.6 rating) may be hard to conquer for its landscape angles and fairway bunkers. But this makes it one of the best golf courses-it’s challenging, yet enjoyable. And if you need some tips, just ask pro Jimmy Wright at the practice range.
