The current URL is a very valuable piece of information to PHP developers, who will need to shape services and requests around what the visitor is currently browsing. You will be overjoyed to see that the latest version of PHP includes phenomenal support for doing this with relative ease.
There are multiple server variables that you can make use of to call the current URL based on what you need. Before we get started in reviewing them, first you should know that any server variable that works based on HTTP headers will potentially be a security concern. This is because HTTP can be faked, so do be sure to put in the correct security measures to circumvent this fact.
HTTP_HOST is the first server variable up for discussion. This is mostly used to help build a link for your own website. You can also pass this string onto images to create a watermark, and effectively brand your website name onto any images you may have created. Clearly, this server variable has much to make use of. Do keep in mind that it functions of HTTP headers, and may not always prove to be the most reliable source of data.
There is a more useful server variable that can be used when you need something more specific than just your domain. If you need the actual path to the script, perhaps for creating a link to the page, you can make use of the SCRIPT_NAME variable. This variable will not include the domain or query parts of the URL, so you will have to build these separately if necessary.
The query string is a valuable tool used to pass information from one script to another. We use the server variable QUERY_STRING to reference it. Be very careful that you don’t forget to encode all of your URL strings, so that malicious users don’t try and befuddle your database information. With even a simple line of code and the right security hole, your entire database could be deleted in seconds without URL encoding.
A great way to get the current URL even if you are using rewriting on your domain is to use the server variable REQUEST_URI. This variable will ignore any rewriting information that the “.htaccess” file tells the server to perform, and instead report the actual name of the running script. This is must-know tool for anyone who makes use of the Mod Rewrite tool.
Closing Comments
Security should be a major concern when using server variables. Always remember to encode information that is being sent in front of the visitor’s view, and always sanitize any information you are putting into your database. Doing so will ensure bad users don’t ruin your website, and your aspirations as a webmaster.

Seattle is a place associated with coffee; there are quite a number of coffee shops that dot the place here and there, and of course, that one particular coffee company that grew from its humble origins right here in pike Place Market. The irony here is even though Washington is an agricultural state, it does not grow coffee at all. Washington does not have the climate that is conducive to coffee trees.
At any rate, it is true that to this very day, there are a lot of people that go to Seattle if only to partake in the many coffee shops that line the streets. So, it follows that the crafts made here draw their inspiration from coffee. It has been said, after all, that coffee is the wine of Apollo, stimulating thought and creativity. Thus, many masterfully made crafts were inspired over a cup of coffee.
I have seen some people push the idea even further, though. Coffee in itself can be a form of art if used properly; that even the roasting of fresh green coffee beans turns out to be a favorite subject of photography. In other words, coffee is a wonderful sort of subject for many artists; it is the paint that breathes life into a canvas; both figuratively and literally.
I’ve seen one such crafted piece wherein miniature sculptures were accentuated with roasted coffee beans. It gave the piece an extra bit of texture, and even though the seductive smell of the bean would eventually fade away, the piece itself would still be there. Crafts of this kind are the perfect accent to a coffee enthusiast’s living room.
As I’ve said above, I’ve seen works wherein the coffee is actually used as the paint for an artwork. Different shades of brown dominate the piece, giving an otherwise new piece that definite classical look. Truly, coffee continues to inspire you as you contemplate the piece over your morning cup. I for one will continue to drink as I do my craftswork.

There are many great functions that a well-scripted PHP contact form can fulfill. In using one of the most robust web development languages available for your contact form, you open your possibilities in getting direct feedback from your website visitors. In doing so, you can run a more well-targeted website for personal or business use alike.
Even though there are many ways to skin a cat, you shouldn’t necessarily wear yourself thin in investigating different technologies to put to use in your contact form. Some technologies such as Flash may not be viewable by everyone- such as those who don’t have the Flash plug-in from Macromedia. This could easily cripple your contact form, and render it useless- so try to keep it simple.
Do be sure to include some sort of form validation in the script so that you are better able to spot out problems before they occur. Notifying the user that they forgot to type in their email address, for instance, can be valuable in getting into contact with whoever wishes to contact you. This can also help you enforce users to give their names, so that you may address them politely in your reply.
A contact form should also be secure- so try to keep it safe from hackers or spammers. One method in keeping your PHP contact form safe from harm is to include what is called a “Captcha.” This device will create an image of numbers, letters, or objects. Visitors then type this information in for verification, so that they prove that they are human and not just another spam robot.
Extra security tactics may include logging the IP address of the one submitting the feedback. This is not only helpful to help track down malicious users, but can also help businesses to track demographics of those submitting the form. By using geography software, one can easily find out where the visitor comes from only by looking at their IP address. This may help in building demographics information.
Remember to keep things simple with your PHP contact form. This will allow you to get in direct contact with your customers without troubling them with technologies their browsers don’t support, or difficult anti-spam techniques that only frustrate human users. It is best to look around at your favorite websites and see what kind of contact forms they offer their visitors- and take your inspiration from several sources.
Closing Comments
If you don’t have the time to code your own PHP contact form, there are freelance PHP developers available for hire via several different websites. You may also buy a PHP book and learn the techniques yourself, or try to find a helpful tutorial online that offers help on the subject.

Every time you embark on an outdoor adventure, it’s vital to have your things ready. You should pack whatever you need.
For example, if you want to go to the beach, it’s necessary to bring your swimwear and sunscreen. If you neglect those items, how on earth could you possibly enjoy being there with no clothes and a bad case of sunburn?.
To ensure a perfect camping trip, here are some things to consider:
First, you need camping equipment. Choose a good tent that fits the number of occupants. Your options are family tents, single tents, double tents and tents for truck beds. To set up the tent, you need an axe, hammer, survival shovel, extra stakes and dust pans. Don’t forget to bring sleeping bags or you or your campmates may end up with an aching back. Sleeping bags come in different types so choose well.
It’s also good to pack pillows, extra blankets and air mattresses. Bring clothes that can be thrown on as layers to handle warmer days and cooler nights Plus it helps with packing space. An extra outdoor tent can shelter you from bad weather if you’re eating or playing.
Bring cooking gear. Don’t forget your cookbook unless you know what to cook. Campsite cooking creates many beautiful camping memories. Make sure you have all you need to prepare special camp meals, including hotdogs, beans and other quick foods. Add a cooler for those refreshing drinks.
Other things to bring are a portable stove, cooking grill, matches, portable pots and pans, eating utensils and cups. Instant meals that are easy to prepare are always welcome.
Pack your toiletries. These are the things that we often forget since we think we always buy them at mini-stops and drugstores. But if you camp at places without stores, you’re in big trouble. Be prepared and bring some toilet paper, your toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel, rags, feminine products, brush or comb and shampoo.
When the sun goes down, make a campfires and enjoy the night. It’s a downer to find yourself sitting in the dark and sleeping early because you don’t know how to build a fire. To avoid that, bring a lantern, flashlight and waterproof matches. A fire extinguisher is a nice addition in case something goes wrong.
Finally, don’t forget your first aid kit, a fully charged cell phone with extra batteries, a map and insect repellant. This simple measures will help you deal with anything during camping. For a fun-filled and unforgettable camping experience, be sure to visit Ohio Campsites.

Selecting a good campsite is the first step in having a great outdoor activity. But do you know what to consider? Here are some tips to guide you in your selection.
There are two types of campsites. One is an impromptu area and the other is a dedicated area. An impromptu area is usually one used by hikers or backpackers. A dedicated area is a place that has various amenities and improvements.
First, consider the accessibility. How are you planning to go to your campsite? Is it a drive up campsite or is it accessible via a foot trial? If you can reach your campsite via a foot trail, I would propose choosing a campsite with a half mile or less walk for your camping trip.
Consider how your campsite looks, what is there and whether it has a good view or not. It’s pointless camping in a place that’s boring when there are lots of beautiful campsites available.
After having a campsite in mind, the next thing to do is to check whether it has clean water or not. If the spot doesn’t have clean water, you have to carry heavy water containers to quench your thirst.
Check whether the campsite has enough firewood. If you want to build a fire, you don’t want to be burdened by carrying all the wood that you need. Make sure that you are permitted to gather firewood at the spot you’re going.
If you plan to camp in uncharted areas, check that the ground surface is flat so you can pitch your tent and it won’t roll downward. The area you choose should be safe to sleep at night.
If this is your first camping trip, it’s best if you select a public spot. Select the campsite that is near your home. For a fun-filled and unforgettable camping experience, be sure to visit Ohio Campsites.

In any sport, having one’s own gear serves two purposes: it signifies dedication and it usually improve ability. In bowling, buying a bowling ball is an investment, so it shows dedication.
But having a ball (so to speak) can also take a bowler’s game to the next level. Ball rotation and accuracy are highly influenced by decisions that ball buyers make about the ball’s weight. What’s more, finger placement and have a significant impact on ball control and therefore overall performance.
In other words, buying and owning a bowling ball facilitates the transition from occasional bowler to hobbyist. Beyond that, buying a ball suited to their own bowling style can improve a bowler’s game significantly. Decisions about the weighting of the ball will result in different outcomes for the bowler. In addition, the placement of finger holes on the ball can also impact ball rotation and therefore bowler accuracy.
Aesthetics are purely a matter of personal choice and whimsy, whereas weighting is a highly utilitarian consideration. When choosing a ball, a bowler first needs to consider what overall weight best suits his or her strength and style.
How the ball is weighted is even more important than overall weight. Buyers of patterned and clear bowling balls alike will have to decide whether they prefer a high or low-density core. Greater spin will be created by a high density core - good for bowlers who could use the help making extra spin. The greater balance offered by a low-density core will keep spin consistent and controlled - good for bowlers who depend less on spin or who can create all the spin they need with their own hands.
For all balls - including clear bowling balls - buyers must decide whether a high density or low-density core is best for their needs. A high density core will create a greater amount of spin - best for bowlers who could use the help in getting the ball to hook back towards the center. A lower-density core, conversely, means there is more weight distributed on the outside of the ball, which keeps the ball’s spin balanced as it heads towards the pins.
Where and how deep finger holes get drilled in a new bowling ball is also crucial. Deeper holes will facilitate control while shallower holes will facilitate spin and higher ball velocities. The spacing between finger holes is also important, and is something that every buyer should carefully consider before they get holes drilled.
Buying a bowling ball is the easiest way to make the transition from one-a-year bowler to real hobbyist. And having one that is suited to their style will help all new regular bowlers take their came to the next level.

Ever since the affordable Nintendo Wii came out on the market, families everywhere have been enjoying their time well spent together. In increasing the amount of fun you can have with a Nintendo Wii, you help keep the whole family entertained through fun accessories.
Most are likely familiar with the “Nunchuck” that comes in some Nintendo Wii packages. If you didn’t obtain this accessory in your packaged deal, you will likely want to go buy one. Fun games such as “Super Smash Bros. Melee” or even simple games such as “Wii Sports: Boxing” will require the use of this product. Obviously, this is a very worthy first investment in accessories.
The Wii controllers are great- but they aren’t always the best for some games that require button mashing or constant use of the directional pad. Instead you may wish to invest in the Classic Controller. You will notice that it has a nostalgic feel to it- very reminiscent of an SNES controller. This is also mandatory for some games- such as SNES games that you can buy via the Nintendo Wii Store.
Nothing compares to the fun-factor of going to a laser tag facility for some fun with friends- simply because you get a large weapon that can be used with pin-point accuracy to have fun with. You can duplicate this fun with the Nintendo Wii and a weapon accessory, which fits right onto the Wii controller. It may not be laser tag, per se, but it is still proves to be much more fun than using the controller itself.
Thanks to the extra sensors that the Wii remote has, you can also use the Wii remote as a steering wheel in some games. This is a bit hard on your own, so you should invest in a steering wheel accessory if you plan to actively play a driving game. Dubbed the “Wii Wheel,” this device can help you take more precise turns, avoid obstacles, and get to the finish line easier than ever before. You’ll find that it is similar to actual driving in a vehicle.
If you like Wii Sports to the effect that you would like better accessories to complete each game, you can opt for package deals that include rackets, bats, golf clubs, and more. This will enable you to better time your movements on the screen, meaning you can actually improve your game. It also brings a certain realistic factor to the process, which is nice.

Shoes are a big part of athletic competitions, with major shoe companies shelling out millions each year to athletes who sport their brand. This goes on not only in national sports, but international sports at the Olympic games. Knowing which pair of shoes to buy, as a result, can be a tough decision.
Puma has seen much of their success from their ability to make a good shoe for many different applications. While they are most known for their running shoes, Puma has been a favorite among those who play golf, participate in different motor sports, and even for those who enjoy sailing. As a result, the company has much knowledge in what a shoe should be.
Just because athletes are popularizing the act of wearing Puma shoes, the company has made great strides in giving the average consumer a good reason for buying their shoes: the Puma sense of fashion is considered to be quite trendy. Several different lines exist for different occasions, such as The Black Label line that is intended for formal occasions. Clearly, consumers are just as happy as athletes.
With a name like Puma Speed Cat, you would think that this type of Puma shoe would have its part in running sports as well. This isn’t true, however, as this shoe is more geared towards those who dedicate their time and energy into motor sports. Oddly enough, this line is also very popular among consumers, who like the smooth details of the Speed Cat. These shoes are extra comfortable, and sport leather and suede designs.
Girls and guys both have a lot of choice when it comes to Puma shoes. The Puma shoe line is notorious for providing most of their shoes in every color imaginable- even the favorite color of most female teens: pink! This is one reason why the Puma line of shoes has become so trendy. After all, consumers like to have choice- and not just a basic shoe that everyone else is wearing on the streets.
Toddles can get in on the Puma fun if they would like- the company puts out a very nice line for tots. Since they are inexpensive, stylish, and comfortable- these make for great shoes for families on a budget. Most brands will range between $30 and $60, depending on what you would like your toddler to wear in public. Just like adult brands, toddler brands will also be subject to choice in what you want in a shoe.
Final Thoughts
Never before has a shoe manufacturer catered to so many different needs such as that of Puma. If you would like to try out your own pair and see how you like them, go online to find more information on pricing and availability.

If you are going to obtain a piercing sometime within the near future, you are likely feeling a bit nervous or confusion as to what body part you will be piercing. Before going about the act of piercing your body, you should consider the benefits of certain piercings over others.
Males and females are both part of the large statistic that states that ear piercings are of the most popular forms of body piercing today. Ear piercings are relatively painless, are easy to clean, and there are plenty of ear ring designs to choose from for both genders. Even better is the fact that ear piercings are considered common, and are thus usually allowed by employers during work.
Other types of facial piercings are generally not as accepted among employers- who may demand you take piercings out when working. This holds true for eyebrow piercings, which are particularly popular among today’s teen population. An eyebrow piercing is another simple operation, but do keep in mind your piercing may become infected if you have long bangs- so try to observe a sense of cleanliness.
Females tend to like nose piercings as well, although typically guys shy away from this type of piercing. Just like the ear and eyebrow piercing, this is a particularly simple procedure that is done in seconds. You will have to keep a piercing in to ensure the opening doesn’t seal- and the healing process may take 5-7 days in total.
You will probably link the Monroe piercing to the famous actress Marilyn Monroe. This is because Miss Monroe had what is called a beauty spot right above her lip- which is exactly where the typical Monroe piercing goes. The Monroe piercing is primarily a female piercing, of which can actually cause severe oral problems if you aren’t careful. Do keep up to date on oral health and Monroe piercings if you decide to get one.
Tongue piercings are most likely to be second most popular to ear piercings. A tongue piercing can be painful once pierced, but this depends on the specifics of the tongue piercing. Tongue piercings tend to cause tooth damage, get caught on food or otherwise harm the tongue. These types of piercings should only be obtained if you are very knowledgeable on the concerns and how to circumvent them. Infection can easily spread if you are not careful.
In Conclusion
Body piercing can be a fun way to prove your individuality, but don’t get caught up in the excitement or you may face serious health risks. Always ask the one piercing of information you may need to make sure health problems won’t exist later on as a result of the piercing.

With so many gaming consoles out on the market, and at different price ranges, it can be tough to pick one out. This is even more difficult, considering that certain game systems may only appeal to certain people. But by analyzing what each game system has to offer, you can make an educated decision with ease.
The Xbox 360 is among the highest selling game consoles, thanks to its competitive pricing and its wide support. The Xbox 360 did have a bit of trouble with faulty systems breaking down, but it seems that Microsoft has started to improve Xbox designs and cut down on the percent of failures. So long as you decide to get a new model, you should be fine.
If you don’t mind paying a little bit more than the Xbox 360, you can obtain a PS3. The PS3, also known as the PlayStation 3, is a Sony product that has neat features such as the ability to play Blu-ray DVD discs. In addition, the PS3 has many games that other consoles don’t have, thanks to exclusive agreements to video game developers. Unlike Xbox Live, PS3 owners won’t have to pay for online play.
It would be hard to pair the Nintendo Wii up with the Xbox 360 and PS3, since it almost seems like it is going after a different target market. The Nintendo Wii is more targeted towards family fun, making children and even the elderly come together in fun games such as bowling, baseball, and golf in addition to a wide variety of others. It is also very inexpensive compared to Microsoft and Sony products.
Even though a video game player likes to play the best and latest games, don’t assume that the latest games are always the most sought after. Some consoles from previous generations such as the regular Xbox or the PS2 still hold their value. A PS2, for instance, is often sought after because it is able to play classic PS2 games that made a huge impact- such as the Final Fantasy series that most video gamers adore.
Going even further back into time, you will find classics such as the NES or SNES, The good news is that you don’t have to look hard trying to find a console that still works- you can buy old games such as this via the Nintendo Wii Store if you would be so inclined. Microsoft has launched similar programs with game developers to bring nostalgia to the consoles.
In Conclusion
Game consoles are great in number, so there are many choices or sacrifices you will have to make in finding the right selection for the person you are buying the gift for. If you would like, most department store workers can offer free help.
