Shiatsu massage is a very effective massage therapy treatment. It has its origins in Chinese acupuncture. Shiatsu uses acupressure by pressing either the finger or thumb in trigger points located throughout the body. Shiatsu developed in Japan and has been shown to effectively relieve aches, pain and discomfort. It also helps increase awareness and mental sharpness. Massage chairs originated in Japan as a mechanical adaptation of shiatsu massage. Shiatsu was one of the first massage therapies to be successfully replicated in massage chairs.
A master shiatsu therapist is trained to locate and apply gentle pressure to your body’s acupressure points. By using gentle, yet firm pressure, energy is restored throughout the body. This helps to bring back harmony and well being. The shiatsu also uses vigorous tapping to loosen tight muscles. a firm kneading action is used to make the muscles more pliable. This helps to restore the muscles natural elasticity.
The best massage chair brands provide a very thorough and effective shiatsu massage. This is all possible with the integration of advanced software programming with infrared body scanning. This technology identifies each individuals trigger points. The software then adjusts the massage to pinpoint your specific acupressure points. The result is a truly custom and effective shiatsu massage therapy.
It is amazing how shiatsu evolved through human trial and error. The masters of old found correlations between specific pressure points and healing of the body. These were built up into a library of traditional shiatsu massage. Now this library is being fed into the computers and mechanisms the run the massage chairs. This evolution is sustaining the tradition of shiatsu in the technology of today.
There are various subtle massage techniques with shiatsu massage. Shiatsu uses the fingers and thumbs to penetrate into pressure points to release energy. The energy can become blocked and cause the muscles to tighten. Shiatsu seeks to reverse this process. Through the use of the body’s trigger points, the energy flow is once again restored. Shiatsu has been shown to increase alertness and relaxation. It also relieves aches and pains in the muscles.
Applying gentle pressure to acupressure points throughout the body relaxes and brings tranquility to the body. Shiatsu Massage chairs have effective functions capable of replicating the movement of a massage therapist. These mechanized fingers provide shiatsu therapy from gentle or firm and with low or high pressure to suite individual needs. Typical massage motions in shiatsu include rubbing, kneading, percussion and vibration.
If you carry a lot of tension and anxiety, let the shiatsu massage relieve you. Imagine coming how to your own shiatsu massage chair. It is there eagerly awaiting your arrival. Tension relief is just the push of a button away. Lean the massage recliner back and let the shiatsu massage melt your worries away. They can press, grip and hold for a sensational massage. These massage recliner companies have overcome many challenging obstacles to integrate the great traditions of shiatsu. There are 2 different reasons as to why individuals are trying to eat right. In order to lose weight some people eat the right way. Many individuals start eating better to get healthy. Getting healthy and losing weight are often goals that people attempt at the same time.
Sadly, a lot of them don’t approach it in such a way that allows them to benefit in the long term. True, they can feel better or lose some weight temporarily, but the effort is not sustainable.
The explanation for this result is that everyone generally just wants to get the quick fix and do things the easiest way possible. Not only that, but those have induced us to be sick and overweight ones.
You cannot shed ponds or get in better health as quickly as you may desire. If you are seeing gains too fast, you may be looking at something false rather than genuine gains. Why is this? Although your body might react the way you want, you could be inducing internal damage.
Atkins is a great example of diets with low carbohydrates. Those may be popular fat loss programs, but might have undesirable consequences that you will not want. When you are consuming a low carb diet, you lose weight because of ketosis.
This is normal in diabetics. You may lose weight, but it may be from your body eating away at internal organs. When you end your diet, filling up on carbohydrates results in your weight gain once again.
Don’t bother with come-and-go common diets or anything that is not focused on long-lasting body health and healthy weight loss programs. Observe your intake of fats and sugars while at the same time eating a balanced diet at every meal.
You will be more aware of what is good and what isn’t when you lose weight. You’ll be astounded how far you may take your efforts once you start to take heed of from your body.

It’s not surprising that many people wonder why fad diets are bad when they seem to get results. You’ll find many sites on the internet claiming significant weight loss in just a few days.
That is always temporary. It’s usually 90% water which will be put straight back on as soon as your body rehydrates, which it must do or else you’ll suffer severe health problems or die.
We also have over hyped fad diets that are not crash diets which push you to the extremes. However, these do not help you lose fat. They only help you lose money.
Some are good nutrition plans, though. But they cost you money while you can get the information from your doctor for free. Or those plans are too hard to get along with, so many folks give up after a week or two.
The bad of fad diets
1. If a diet program promises you quick and easy weight loss, it’s often based on eating certain types of food. However, consuming only some kinds of food will prevent you from getting a balanced diet.
These programs usually recommend supplements. The problem here is most of the times, the supplements they offer can’t be absorbed into the body unless you eat foods that are not allowed by the programs themselves. If you’re faithful enough to stick to your diet for several weeks, you may notice some changes, feel tired and weak due to nutritional deficiency.
2. Many fad diets are boring or ultra-strict. Fad diets that you can’t enjoy will put you back to your old habits. For example, you diet for 2 days, can’t stand what you have to eat, crave something else and, wallah, you have fallen off the train to weight loss. Then lots of people blame themselves for not losing weight.
3. Most fad diets do not follow recommendations of the American Heart Association and similar bodies. The promoters may argue that you’ll just follow the diet for a short time. But if you do not reach your desired weight in that time, then what? You either continue with a plan that is not good for your health, or stop and probably gain back what you’ve lost.
4. Fad diets, unfortunately, do not include enough consumption of fruits and vegetables in your weight loss plan, nor do they allow you to consume what your body needs.
5. Fad diets are nothing but a temporary solution which does not produce permanent results. Permanent results need a permanent solution.
Yo-yo fad diets only make your weight fluctuate. And in some cases, you may end up gaining more weight than you’ve lost. The up-and-down weight issue hurts not only your health but also your self-esteem.
Publicity materials probably bring you hopes for a couple of days, but over time you’ll come to find out that what they’re offering will not last a lifetime. The best way to lose weight is nothing fancy - eat healthy foods without overeating and exercise regularly. Stay away from fad diets if you don’t want to waste your time and money.

In order for cardio exercises to work, we need to understand how they work. A cardio exercise program allows the body to burn off fat. But we’ve always wondered what is the best cardio exercise that burns the most fat. Is it high intensity, or low?
Scientists first discovered that during intensive exercises, the body burns glycogen, which is a form of carbohydrates that are stored in the liver and muscles for energy. During low intensity exercises, the body will burn a lot of fat.
Unfortunately, researchers were not completely correct. To this day, there are more overweight people than ever though they exercise with low intensity. Why is it?
Scientists, however, were correct when it came to low impact cardio exercises. A low impact exercise, like walking or swimming, burns more fat. But if we perform a high impact exercise, the body will burn calories, and lots of them. These calories come not only from glycogen but also from fat.
What’s more, when your glycogen level becomes low, carbohydrates from food will be turned into glycogen for storage. They’ll not be converted to body fat even when left unused.
High intensity cardio exercise will juice up our metabolism even after we have completed our workout. What this means is that the body will continue to burn body fat hours after we have left the gym.
However, this is not the case with low impact cardio exercise which will not boost your metabolism that long. In short, chances are high intensity training helps burn more body fat than low.
In order to utilize both low and high impact cardio exercises, we need to put them together in a routine. For example, walk for about 5 minutes, then power walk (almost jog) for the same amount of time.
Then, walk briskly again until we have caught our breath and then sprint for a minute before we walk again. From this point, simply alternate running and walking for the next 15 minutes until we are done. If you don’t like walking, do the same with a cardio exercise machine.
What’s best about cardio is the more we do it, the more energy we’ll have. Cardio will help us burn calories, although it’s more useful for keeping our energy levels high.
For all newbies, be persistent and pace yourself, one step at a time. Be careful or you’ll get burned out! It is also important to track your progress to see how well you have been doing.

These days nearly everyone is worried about their health and how much they weigh. The cause of this is because we lead our lives in a way that it becomes tough to stay healthy and slim. We seem to eat out at fast-food restaurants and sit-down restaurants a lot.
At home, we sometimes consume foods that are poor choices, picking sugar-filled snack foods rather than healthy foods. How could you stop doing that to lose weight and become fit?
Some of the primary things which many persons must do when they are attempting to lose those pounds is to stop all the bad practices that they are engaged in. When you have become used to eating a particular way, this can be exceedingly difficult.
Aspartame, sugar, bad carbohydrates and caffeine are some of the wrong things that many individuals are addicted to. As hard as it seems, you should know that the best and only way to sustain good health always is to get rid of these unhealthy habits. If you’re having trouble breaking free from the bad cycle, go cold turkey for several days.
When you are free of the bad eating habits, you need to incorporate good ones. Although you are not required to eat perfect everyday, you must make sure that you stay with a nutritious plan for a month at least.
But why? It takes that long to form a new habit. If you apply a diet that is both healthy and balanced for 30 days, it will become your normal way of eating.
Eating well also means that you need to be certain that you eat the right foods. Try to stay low on the glycemic indicator to maintain your usual sugar level.
Make certain that you’re consuming plenty of raw fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. Drinking water with a small portion of sea salt daily is of utmost importance to your well-being. When you see your good health and slim figure are returning, you’ll realize that your effort is working.

Do you want to lose fat? Have you tried different diets and failed consistently? If you answered yes to these questions, you are in good company. There are a lot of people who have been trying fat loss diets over the years and have failed. The reason they have not succeeded is that they used gimmicks and lose-weight-fast diets that do more damage than good. Here are some sensible things to keep in mind when you try to lose weight.
1. Go easy on the tea and coffee. They are pretty much harmless if you don’t add a lot of cream and sugar to them. It is the cream and sugar that becomes fattening. Think of it this way, when you have a cup of coffee or tea with cream and two cubes of sugar, you are essentially eating a piece of chocolate cake every time.
2. Attempt to adhere to black coffee and tea. They may really be beneficial for you. But personally I’d like to suggest tea instead of coffee. The caffeine in the coffee isn’t actually good for you since it will make you irritable.
3. Calculate the calories when you eat, however do not overdo it. It is a sound idea to know the calories that most food items contain. Whenever it’s a packed thing then the label is certain to give the calories it has.
4. Make certain to burn off those extra energy by the end of the week. When you feel that you’ve eaten more energy than you should have within the week, this occurs you know, then be sure that you work away these additional energy by the end of the week.
5. Stay away from fried things. Fried things are an absolute no-no. The more fried things that you avoid, the lesser weight you will gain. Fried things are called so because they are fried in oil or fat. And even if the external oil is drained away, there is still a lot of hidden oil in it so stay away from it.
6. Don’t skip meals. You should have, at the very least, three meals a day, but preferably five small meals. This will keep you from getting hungry during the day and overeating out of starvation.
7. Fresh veggies are better than canned or cooked veggies. Try to have your veggies uncooked. If you cook them, you’re indeed taking out nearly 50% the vitamins in them. And canned veggies also are processed and not nearly half as healthy as fresh veggies. Whenever you purchase your veggies it would be good to find out if the label states that it’s pesticide free.

Are you tired of losing weight then gaining it all back again? Losing weight is hard work, absolutely. And gaining weight back, oh my god.
Break that cycle and grab a hold of the rope of discipline. Stay away form junk food and keep on your workout program. That’s right. The weight fluctuation is our fault.
Folks have a misconception that once they lose weight successfully, they think that they won’t gain weight any further, no matter what they do. This is totally untrue! Even after we have lost weight successfully, we will have to follow the same diet and exercise routine to maintain that weight.
I don’t say that you must go to the gym. Some walking will do just fine. Here are 3 tips to get you started.
1. See your doctor: Your doctor may have suggestions for you regarding walking to lose weight.
He will give you advice on a proper walking plan according to your health conditions. For example, if you have bad knees, he may suggest swimming in stead of walking.
2. Track your steps: Just walking threw a store today, the yard tomorrow, dose not cut it. We need to walk to lose weight. Walking here and there doesn’t give a clue on how many steps you’ve taken each day to achieve your goal. To count your steps, you can use a pedometer.
Pedometers can be found at most sport facilities and they’re not very expensive. They take the guessing out of how many steps. So each day you can improve your “walking for losing weight” adventure.
As you start walking, you will feel much healthier and your energy levels will increase.
3. Put on the right clothes: walking to lose weight would be pretty uncomfortable without proper clothing. Loose-fitting clothes will allow air to move through easily. Avoid tight and heavy clothes.
Proper shoes are highly important as you are walking. If your shoes make your feet hurt or uneasy, do something about it and keep on walking!

The reason they have not succeeded is that they used gimmicks and lose-weight-fast diets that do more damage than good. Here are some sensible things to keep in mind when you try to lose weight.
1. Fruit juice isn’t as healthy as most people think. Juice actually has a lot of sugar in it as well. Instead of drink fruit juice, eat more fruit. Fruit provides your body with much needed fiber as well as vitamins.
2. If you are craving a glass of juice, drink fresh fruit juice instead of juice that has artificial flavors and coloring. It is even better if you can make your own fruit juice. Just be sure not to add too much sugar which adds to the calories.
3. Choose fresh fruit to processed fruits. Processed and canned fruits do not have as much fiber as fresh fruit and processed and canned fruits are nearly always sweetened.
4. Increase your fiber intake as much as you can. This usually means eating more fruits and veggies.
5. Go crazy on vegetables. Vegetables are your best bet when it comes to losing pounds. Nature has a terrific spread when it comes to choosing vegetables. And the leafy green vegetables are your best bet. Try to include a salad in your diet always.
6. Eat intelligently. The difference between man and beast is that we are driven by intelligence while beasts are driven by instinct. Don’t just eat something because you feel like eating it. Ask your self whether your body really needs it.
