What Are The Energy Supplements You’ve Tried?

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

I don’t think I would’ve tried an energy pill if my brother didn’t suggest it. He loved one of the brands – he says it changed his life. Up until he started taking these energy pills, he slept all the time – the few hours he was awake, he’d barely be conscious. The day he started taking energy boosters, his life got back into order pretty fast – he was proud of himself and his new productivity. A friend of mine suggested it may be the placebo effect that made it seem that the energy pill was working – but I figured I’d give it a shot anyway. I read before about side effects for a few brands of energy pills. I did read that some people who used energy pills had sleeping problems, or they’d get all jittery and be uncomfortable through the day – but I wasn’t afraid. If these energy pills happened to work nearly as good for me as they worked for my brother – I’d be blown away! I started out the use with the pills from my brother’s bottle.

When I began to take the pills, my plan was to stay awake and energized through the work day. I work a lot of hours, and it’s somewhat repetitive. After I’ve been hanging around a cubicle for such a long time, I slow down and my work quality goes down. My job duties involve my doing a set amount of work every day – the quicker I work, the faster I get out. The first few days I took my brother’s pills, I finished a week’s worth of work in only four days! I spent Friday at the beach.

By week two, the energy kept coming – I used my time more and more efficiently than my colleagues did! This was great and terrible… when my boss saw how fast I was working, he started giving me more stuff to do. I quickly accepted the added work – and by the end of the third week I got a raise! My colleagues began to ask how I got my energy at work – I was a little nervous to tell them my secret, but I let it out eventually. Maybe it is to be expected, but the people I told just giggled when I named the energy pill as the culprit behind the ethic.

As of this article, I haven’t experienced any side-effect (other than the added energy). I haven’t even experienced insomnia, which is something I usually have even when I’m not taking medication. I asked my brother about side-effects he’s noticed, and so far he’s also without – which is great! I think any apnea that could be there is lessened due to our intense workout schedule – playing sports and working out saps even the most powerful energy. I may try to bring my girlfriend into the whole energy-pill thing.

This pill is too wonderful for me to not suggest to the people I like – and I feel I did my share of product-research before pushing it onto my friends. You can never know for sure, but I’m definitely praying that in a year I’ll still be having this sort of success with this pill. If I start noticing anything less than greatness from this pill (i.e. jitters, nausea), I’ll be sure to post a follow-up article.

The Best Weight Loss Product Of All!

Monday, March 29th, 2010

I don’t think I would’ve tried an energy pill if my brother didn’t suggest it. A trainer recommended he start using a specific brand– and he says it had quite an impact on his life. Up until he started taking these energy pills, he slept all the time – the few hours he was awake, he’d barely be conscious. The day he started taking energy boosters, his life got back into order pretty fast – he was proud of himself and his new productivity. I knew there was a chance that just by taking the pill, he willed himself to having more energy – but I still wanted to try it out for myself. I did some homework on the side effect subject as far as energy pills were concerned. I know a good amount of folks reported getting nervous jitters, or some sort of insomnia – but I knew that if that happened I could just stop taking the pill! If I could get anywhere near as good luck as my brother had with his pill, it’d be a success. Naturally, I started borrowing my brother’s energy pills.

When I began taking the energy pill, it was mostly so I could be awake during my work day. I work a lot of hours, and it’s somewhat repetitive. After staying still for a while, I begin to lose my focus on my tasks. Since I have a set amount of work to do per day, my ability to pay attention truly makes a difference in my day – if I can stay on task, my work-week actually gets smaller. During the first work-week of the energy pill, I completed all my workload for the week by Thursday. Friday involved me hanging out on a beach!

Through week 2, the energy flowed, and I breezed through tasks faster than ever.

I haven’t even had any sleep apnea, which is a common side-effect for many energy pills. I asked my brother about side-effects he’s noticed, and so far he’s also without – which is great! Our routine workouts could be why we tire out at the end of the day and are able to sleep without any trouble. I may try to bring my girlfriend into the whole energy-pill thing.

It’s too life-altering for me to not pass it on to those I think could gain from it. I still think it’s unlikely– but I will be very happy if I’m still getting these kinds of visible results in a year’s time. I’ve heard terrible stories of insomnia, nerves, and other side effects – and if/when I start feeling anything of the sort, I’ll update my article with new info.

The Best Weight Loss Products Of All!

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

I doubt I would’ve given energy pills a shot if it wasn’t for my brother. A trainer recommended he start using a specific brand– and he says it had quite an impact on his life. Up until he started taking these energy pills, he slept all the time – the few hours he was awake, he’d barely be conscious. When he started to take these energy boosters, his spirits flew up and his life was back to normal. Regardless, I know it’s possible that it was just a coincidence (or that since he believed it’d work – it worked), but I wanted to try it anyway. I did some homework on the side effect subject as far as energy pills were concerned. Some would get nervous jitters, insomnia, or other side effects – but none of the effects sounded bad enough to stop me from testing this stuff out. If these energy pills happened to work nearly as good for me as they worked for my brother – I’d be blown away! Naturally, I started borrowing my brother’s energy pills.

When I began to take the pills, my plan was to stay awake and energized through the work day. My day is very long and stressful, and the ability to focus would do wonders to my work ethic. After staying still for a while, I begin to lose my focus on my tasks. My job duties involve my doing a set amount of work every day – the quicker I work, the faster I get out. The first few days I took my brother’s pills, I finished a week’s worth of work in only four days! Friday involved me hanging out on a beach!

During the second week, the energy kept coming, and I was still working faster than any of my colleagues. This was cool for a time – until my boss saw that I was doing so much more work than usual, so he doubled my workload. I worked hard, even with the added load – and it wasn’t long after that I got a long-overdue promotion! My colleagues began to ask how I got my energy at work – I was a little nervous to tell them my secret, but I let it out eventually. When I said I just used an energy pill to keep my drive all day, people usually laughed, unconvinced – all the while, my brother and I were purchasing a larger supply!

So far I haven’t felt any negative side-effects. I haven’t even had trouble sleeping – which is something I usually struggle with in normal circumstances. Insomnia is a common side-effect with most pills, but my brother hasn’t experienced it with this one – perhaps it’s just a good brand. Our routine workouts could be why we tire out at the end of the day and are able to sleep without any trouble. I may try to bring my girlfriend into the whole energy-pill thing.

This pill is too wonderful for me to not suggest to the people I like – and I feel I did my share of product-research before pushing it onto my friends. You can never know for sure, but I’m definitely praying that in a year I’ll still be having this sort of success with this pill. The second I start experiencing anything less than amazing results, I will definitely post an update to this blog – but until then, I’m gonna to get this product out there wherever I can.

P90X Does It Work?

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

I’m going to start this little story by telling you where I was at almost 1 year ago; I was 30 years old, 5ft 9inches tall and 195lbs. I’m not saying I was fat, I’m not saying I was obese, but one this is for sure, I definitely was not where I wanted to be, and found myself to be sadly out of shape, and had taken on the infamous pear shape. The problem I found was that all throughout high school, and my younger years, I was active, and never had a problem with weight. As I grew older I became less active, and carried with me HORRIBLE eating habits, drinking anywhere between 10-15 soft drinks per day, raiding the local buffets. To top it all off my only form of exercise was…well…there was none. I was a business owner, who spent the majority of my day in my vehicle, when I got home I felt like I did not have the time to exercise and I sure did not have the desire.

So one night I was sitting around watching TV and the P90X commercial came on. I remember watching this commercial sitting there thinking there’s no way, it’s not possible, and to get those kind of results in 90 days. So I asked myself if I believed what I just saw, and found myself wondering if this program could actually work? So I decided to give it try, I figured I could devote an hour a day for 90 days, if I thought I could better myself. So I made the call and waited for my new exercise program to arrive in the mail, I was ready to start losing the flab, burning some fat and building lean muscle or at least I thought I was.

In the past I’ve done rather should I say attempted many exercise programs, and for some odd reason I always fell short of my goal. Who am I kidding I did not even make it anywhere near my goal, the video’s never even made it into the DVD player, mainly because I’m lazy, and un motivated. For whatever reason these were different, maybe it was because they were not super cheap, or maybe it’s because I was just tired of going downhill who knows why, but I was determined this go around. So I patiently waited for my video’s to arrive, all the while convincing myself that in just 90 short days I was going to be a lean mean fighting machine. Yes I know, I’m gullible and I believe in little fairies that fly around and grant people wishes.

After about 7 days I got the video’s, I opened up the package and was amazed at everything that came along with it, I was starting to think that this could be a little more than what I bargained for (and it only took about 10 minutes of the first P90X video for me to KNOW this was more than I bargained for).

At the same time I started the P90X workouts, and gave everything I had to the program, the very first day I thought I was going to pass out, or throw up, I can never remember working so hard, even when I was in the military and doing push-ups and what not every day, I found myself more winded doing these workouts. It was truly grueling, but I got through it, and thought to myself how glad I was to have that over, only to wake up the next morning to find muscles I did not even know I had were sore. Do not get me wrong even though I was in pain, it felt good in a strange way, I knew I had accomplished something and was on my way to a better me.

I’m now in the best shape of my life, I continue to do P90X 6 days a week, I feel better, have more energy, and am definitely in the best shape of my life from following through with this program.

Get My Guy Back After Our Break Up

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

So you want him back? Getting back together with an ex boyfriend after a breakup is not always easy. So many people don’t succeed in winning their ex back. It’s not really our fault. No one ever handed us an instruction book when we first started dating that taught us how to handle a breakup. Much less, how to get someone back after a breakup.. Here are five steps to help you win his heart back:

1. First of all, get rid of the self-pity. I know it’s hard not to feel down after a breakup, but you have to stop feeling sorry for yourself. You have to be willing to be strong. Don’t let your emotion and especially depression keep you down. You can’t achieve a goal, if you can’t keep your emotions in check and your mind clear. Negativity sabotages your plans even before you put them into action.

2. Learn to accept the fact that the ‘way things were’ is over. Nothing you can do will ever change what is past. You can’t let your mind keep wandering into memories of ‘how it used to be’. Focus on what is going on now. If you realize that the relationship of the past wasn’t perfect you’re heading in the right direction and laying the foundation for you and your ex boyfriend to get back. Remember you are most likely glossing over all the bad stuff that happened. Remember that the breakup didn’t just happen overnight, so don’t expect to be able to patch things up in a day either.

3. Back off for a bit. There’s nothing less appealing to guys than a stalker. Especially ex boyfriends. You may want to seek comfort by hearing his voice or seeing his face, but if you really want him back, you must learn to give him space for a while. Don’t continuously call him, text message him, email him, or go to his place or where he hangs out just to see him. Give him time to realize he may have made a mistake. He may begin to actually miss you. It may actually be more difficult to get him back if you don’t give the time and space he needs after a breakup.

4. Treat yourself to a makeover. Get some new makeup and new clothes. Get a new hairstyle. If you’ve picked up a few pounds, start exercising and eating healthy. When you look good on the outside, you’re going to start feeling better about yourself on the inside. By feeling good on the inside you will be confident and happy. When you’re confident and happy, you will project this image to others. Nothing is more desirable to men than confidence. Your ex-boyfriend will definitely notice.

5. Wait. Healing takes time, and if you’ve followed the four steps the next time he sees you he will probably be sorry that he broke up with you. Keep your physical contact with him to a minimum, if you do see him. Seeing you looking your best and seeing that you’ve become confident and happy will make him desire you. If you limit your physical contact with him, this will drive him crazy. Don’t jump right back into another relationship with him, take it slow.

The Abs Diet Does Not Work In Isolation

Friday, April 17th, 2009

The abs diet is not equivalent to starving yourself. In fact, starvation stops results. Having a visibly toned and flat stomach requires a lifestyle commitment, which includes disciplining our food choices and intake, regular physical activity and life stress reduction. It is NOT about a starvation diet.

When we hear the word “diet”, we automatically think “abstinence from food”, but that shouldn’t be the case. Going hungry actually encourages our body to store more fat since the body perceives this as an emergency situation. The more we go hungry, the more fat our body stores.

Eating lean protein and complex carbohydrates will allow our body to quickly burn the calories we take in and then burn the excess fat for energy. In addition, eating several small-portioned meals throughout the day will help you maintain your blood sugar and energy levels.

Training with resistance will help to increase our metabolism. Not only will we sculpt our bodies, but it helps our body to optimize its fat burning capacity. When we train with weights, and in quick interval bursts, we can increase our metabolism to burn fat. In addition, the muscles we develop will need more energy to function, which increases the body’s overall metabolism.

And because muscles, by nature, require more energy to “run”, your body now has to provide more energy sources for them, which it can now get from excess body fat stored in the stomach area. Fat is then continuously burned even hours after the physical activity.

Relaxation techniques to lower stress like yoga, tai chi, and deep breathing exercises have been found to effectively combat and manage stress levels. Less stress means less Cortisol (a hormone that stores fat in our stomach area) released into our bloodstream.

In summary, the abs diet does not work in isolation. We need to commit to a lifestyle change that allows us to maintain healthy and smart eating habits, engage in a daily physical routine, and practice life stress reduction techniques in order to achieve visible, well-toned abs.

Flatter Abs - High Intensity, More Muscle

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

The fast-paced lifestyles people in big cities of the world have nowadays have made it difficult to manage time to do everything one wants to do in a day. The dragging economy has forced a lot of people to work extra hours just to make ends meet and this has made it almost impossible for people to work-out regularly and get flatter abs.

Since I can’t really advise you on how to increase your cash flow (a financial adviser might do a better job), I’ve decided to type-up this article on how to exercise effectively for strength, fat loss and the last elusive goal aforementioned- flatter abs.

In their quest for the almighty dollar, a large portion of society these days find it hard to find time to exercise. The lack of adequate physical activity combined with the potpourri of instant, delicious junk food we have at our disposal have made it all too easy to pack on the pounds and get oversized bellies.

The key to getting flatter abs is to lose as much belly fat as you can. This means focusing on losing on body fat loss by burning more calories than is consumed in a day. The only way to do this quickly is through a smart diet and calorie-busting exercises that also keep the body’s metabolic rate high.

There are numerous advantages to having well developed muscles- a sexy physique, enough strength to move the couch to look for lost coins, and a higher metabolic rate. That’s right- the more we pack-on muscle tissue, the more we’re able to keep off extra blubber.

Studies have found that muscles even burn calories just being there. Buffed people then can burn a significant amount of calories while watching Letterman or updating their Facebook page. Given these facts, there’s no question then that doing muscle-building exercises is an essential part of an effective fat loss program.

Putting together a workout program that combines the calorie-busting benefits of high intensity aerobic sessions with muscle-building resistance training is the best way for people with a hectic schedule to get flatter abs. The calories burned doing hour’s worth of low to moderate intensity exercises can be done in 15-20 minutes of intense exercise.

In order to be able to be consistent with your cardiovascular exercise sessions, it’s important to pick activities that you find fun- hiking, skipping rope, boxing, etc. Better yet, you can even change to a new aerobic activity every once in a while just to break the monotony. Remember that constant exercise is the key to flatter abs.

Weight Loss Can’t be Achieved Overnight

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

There are 2 different reasons as to why individuals are trying to eat right. In order to lose weight some people eat the right way. Many individuals start eating better to get healthy. Getting healthy and losing weight are often goals that people attempt at the same time.

Sadly, a lot of them don’t approach it in such a way that allows them to benefit in the long term. True, they can feel better or lose some weight temporarily, but the effort is not sustainable.

The explanation for this result is that everyone generally just wants to get the quick fix and do things the easiest way possible. Not only that, but those have induced us to be sick and overweight ones.

You cannot shed ponds or get in better health as quickly as you may desire. If you are seeing gains too fast, you may be looking at something false rather than genuine gains. Why is this? Although your body might react the way you want, you could be inducing internal damage.

Atkins is a great example of diets with low carbohydrates. Those may be popular fat loss programs, but might have undesirable consequences that you will not want. When you are consuming a low carb diet, you lose weight because of ketosis.

This is normal in diabetics. You may lose weight, but it may be from your body eating away at internal organs. When you end your diet, filling up on carbohydrates results in your weight gain once again.

Don’t bother with come-and-go common diets or anything that is not focused on long-lasting body health and healthy weight loss programs. Observe your intake of fats and sugars while at the same time eating a balanced diet at every meal.

You will be more aware of what is good and what isn’t when you lose weight. You’ll be astounded how far you may take your efforts once you start to take heed of from your body.

Exercise Videos - Are They Better Than E-books?

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Exercise videos are here to stay. We like them because they make our lives easier, are inexpensive, and allow us the privacy to ease into a healthy lifestyle at our own pace. But what are pros for others become a major con for some especially those who need a more social environment to keep them going.

Exercise videos like Jane Fonda’s, Suzanne Somers’ and Richard Simmons’ have been very popular in the past.

They paved the way for the great selection of videos on pilates, yoga, tai chi, belly dancing and more on the market today. There’s a huge variety of exercise videos out there and that’s why they’re still popular.

It is more motivating to exercise when there aren’t any obstacles to discourage us. That’s why exercise videos are better because they are very accessible. No technological issues to deal with. Just pop in and play the video anytime you’re ready.

What about the cost of the workouts? At an average of U$20 per video, doing the video 3x a week for 2 months gets you back its retail cost. But gym memberships entail a bigger lump sum output with hidden costs like gas, parking and drive time.

For those who prefer privacy, exercise videos are a definite pro. Starting a program can be awkward and if we’re not used to certain movements or holding set counts, we easily get self-conscious and lose motivation. Add camouflage clothing versus sleek gym wear and we crawl to our home videos in great relief!

However, there are people who crave human contact while doing their workouts. Many prefer the live setting to get feedback from their trainers and instructors. Others need the encouragement and support of people in the workout sessions to keep them going. While others, still, need that change of environment to inspire them to get results.

There are definitely benefits and consequences to exercise videos. Convenience, cost, self-image and social interaction are all factors that affect our choice, but whatever we decide to go with, the most important thing is to be aware of these factors so we can make the best choice for us.
