Catch Me If You Can: This movie tells the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., who was a master con man. By the time he was 21 years old, he had been a doctor, a co-pilot for a major airline, and a lawyer. Check fraud is where he excelled the most, and he had swindled companies out of millions with this skill. F.B.I. agent Carl Hanratty becomes obsessed with finding and capturing Frank.

The Scalphunters: A Western comedy where we find a fur trapper and his highly informed servant. The film has its good parts however it just doesn’t create enough laughs. Cast includes Burt Lancaster, Shelley Winters, Ossie Davis, Telly Savalas, Armando Silvestre, Notch Cravat, and Dabney Coleman. (102 minutes, 1968)

South Central: Awakening, well-meaning story of life and desperation in central-city L.A. is alike in topic to (however not almost as powerful as) Boyz in the Hood. Ah, Wilderness: Strong Americana in this adaptation of Eugene O’Neill play in reference to turn-of-the-century little town life, concentrating on a boy facing complications of adolescence. Rooney, playing the younger sibling, steals the show in lyrical redo of Summer Holiday. Cast includes Wallace Beery, Lionel Barrymore, Cecilia Parker, Mickey Rooney, and Bonita Granville. (101 minutes, 1953)

Say Amen Somebody: An amazing documentary in regards to gospel music and 2 of its beaming megastars, “Mommy” Willie Mae Ford Smith and “Professor” Thomas Dorsey that brings us into their lives in addition to their careers and illustrates the flow of music sung from the heart. Cast includes Willie Mae Ford Smith, Thomas A. Dorsey, Sallie Martin, The Barrett Siblings, and The O’Neal Brothers. (100 minutes, 1982)
